DVEO to Feature DVB-C, DVB-T VHF/UHF Modulators at IBC 2007

TVB590 Modulators with IF and RF Output Deliver HD Video Via Coax Cable

August 30, 2007 --
DMN Newswire--2007-8-30--DVEO, the broadcast division of CMI, will feature their TVB590 modulator cards at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, September 7-11.

The TVB590 PCI cards are frequency agile modulators that transmit real time video or stored video from the server hard drive and send it to multiple HD monitors simultaneously.  They are suitable for set top box testing, laboratory applications, digital signage, and video feeds in public areas such as hotels and trade shows.

The modulator cards can connect via an antenna or coaxial cable, and they feature both IF and RF output.  RF modulators combine a video signal with an RF - radio frequency - source, so the video can be transmitted to a television or VCR.

TVB590 modulators are available in a wide variety of broadcast transmission standards: QAM, DVB-C, QPSK, DVB-S, DVB-S2, 8VSB, T-DMB, DVB T+H, and ISDB-T.  Customers can purchase licenses for additional profiles and upgrade the card immediately.  Modulator profiles typically used in North America include QAM and 8VSB.  Modulator profiles typically used in Europe are DVB-T, DVB-H, DVB-C, DVB-S, and DVB-S2.

"The modulators are ideal for sending video to many HD monitors at the same time," said Al Delir, Technical Support Manager for DVEO.  "Our customers in the U.S. and Europe use them for testing equipment, closed circuit video broadcasts, and digital signage.  One of our customers is an electronics retailer who uses the TVB590 for in-store demos of plasma TV sets."
